dayDream Notes started simply as a name I had to come up with for a booth I was contributing for in a local exhibition called "Naseej". The contributers were required to name their booths as a part of preparing to showcase their work.

I did find that to be a challenge because I thought how do I come up with a name that will represent how I am and what I do? If I was asked to write a paper about it, It would've been much easier. However, to come up with a name, I had to get to know who I was and how I wanted to represent myself to people.
I was mostly described as a daydreamer by many of my friends, I guess that made a lot of sense to me and I liked the word "Daydream" because it symbolizes many things I do and like as a person and a designer. The other part of the name "notes" relates to my passion for writing that I developed in recent years.
So put them together and it's "dayDream Notes"
The Logo?!
The logo of dayDream notes is made out of a mini logo that I created during my senior year in University. It was the logo I created and developed to represent me and my portfolio. Many people wondered, what does the fish mean? The fish is known as "Kio fish" it is originated in China and widely spread in Japan. Kio and tattoos of Kio are traditionally considered lucky. A homonym of Kio means "Love and Affection" and therefore a symbol of love and friendship. The colors are basically the palette I enjoy working with in most of my work: black, red and white. I guess it shows and influence and my love of Japan and it's rich culture which is so inspiring. Finally the Circular shapes behind the mini logo are dreams and thoughts and can be considered a clouds of imagination.
